Parenting courses run on a rolling timetable and are designed to help you cope with parenting challenges from babies through to teens. Scroll down to the end of the document to find courses for parenting a child with autism.
Netmums have put together online courses for parentsin three parts under the headings of “Getting the best, Stopping the worst and Families Together”. You need to be a Netmums member to sign up.
Free and Low cost counselling
Help! Counselling www.help-counselling.org.uk. From age 9 -25 yrs. Will ask you to contribute as much as you can afford. Self refer using the form on their website. Wait times can be long.
Network Counselling www.network.org.uk Tel 0117 9507271 from the age of 11 years. Suggested donation is £25 a session (or more) but can be less depending on what you can afford.
Off The Record. Free and confidential group and one-to-one support. Excellent website. OTR also have a drop in parents and carers group in Bristol once a week for anyone looking after a teenager with a mental health issue.
The Bridge Foundation
This charity provides family and child counselling but not for free though there is a sliding scale of charges depending on family income. Contact them to find out more on 0117 9424510

Some private psychological services for children and young people are available in Bristol This includes ADHD and autism spectrum disorder assessments.
