  • Pinpoint has a directory where you can also find local support groups and parenting courses for North Devon.

  • Parental Minds are a community interest company based in South Devon who have a weekly drop-ins in Exeter, Sidmouth and Honiton with 1-2-1 advice and run zoom sessions for support and signposting. They also offer some counselling and other resources on their website.

  • Devon Child and Family Health also have a directory of services for children with additional needs of any kind, a ‘good referral guide” and a direct link to the local Devon County Council page 

  • Parenting support courses “The Incredible Years” for different ages from baby to teens can be booked for free here for Plymouth and surrounding areas. 

  • Young Devon is the place to go to for advice and signposting. They run a counselling service and also offer on-line counselling via Kooth

  • Relate (South Devon) have centres that offer family therapy and counselling for children and young people.They also offer some counselling in North Devon at Barnstaple Relate via the Exeter Relate centre.

  • The Zone offers information, advice and support for 13-25 year olds in the Plymouth area including a drop-in service for emotional support.Their website has a self-help and a parent’s section too. 

  • Checkpoint Torbay support services and counselling for children aged 8-17 yrs and also provides specialist support around drugs and alcohol, sexual exploitation and sexual health. 

  • The Wave is an award winning charity that run surfing therapy and beach school projects for young people in North and South Devon, Cornwall and further afield. 

  • The Phoenix (Exeter) run lots of art and creative courses and also have a young artists group which is free to join. They also occasionally run courses on art for mental health.

  • Children and Families in Grief support families after a bereavement based in Paignton. You can self-refer or be referred by your GP or another professional.
